SZTE Pont Ott Party returns with Mehringer and Co Lee

The University of Szeged’s annual Pont Ott Party returns to Dugonics Square on Wednesday, July 23, giving prospective students the chance to watch the announcement of Hungary’s university admission results live before celebrating with free concerts and an afterparty.

The Pont Ott Party is an annual event held by universities across Hungary to mark the release of admission point thresholds in Hungary’s centralized higher education admissions system. These results do not apply to international admissions.

Applicants through Hungary’s centralized higher education admissions system can gather with thousands of others at the giant screen outside the University’s main building to follow the announcement live at 8 p.m.

The evening opens with a performance by Membrán, winner of the Sounds of Szeged 2026 local talent competition. DJs Miskovits Marci and MolnárBé will provide music leading up to the announcement.

After the admission point thresholds are revealed, the celebration continues with concerts by Mehringer at 8:30 p.m. and Co Lee at 10 p.m. The outdoor program will be followed by the official Pont Ott Party afterparty at JATE Klub, running until 4 a.m.
