Hungary showcased its canoe sprint prowess at the 2025 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup, securing multiple gold medals and topping the medal table.
Agnes Anna Kiss, Bianka Nagy, and Zsofia Katalin Csorba each claimed two golds. Kiss and Nagy won the women’s C2 500m and teamed up with Csorba for victory in the women’s C4 500m. Csorba also captured gold in the women’s C1 5000m despite blustery conditions.
In the men’s events, Balint Kopasz took the K1 1000m title in a close finish, while Adam Varga won gold in the K1 500m.
Spain also impressed, with 20-year-old Viktoriia Yarchevska winning the women’s C1 200m. Spain added more golds in the men’s C2 500m and the women’s K4 500m.
Poland’s Anna Pulawska dominated the women’s kayak sprints, winning both the K1 200m and 500m. Norway’s Jon Amund Vold delivered an emotional victory in the men’s K1 5000m after surviving leukemia.
