Pumpkin Weekend back on Szent István Square this weekend

Pumpkin Weekend is back on Szent István Square in Szeged this Saturday and Sunday, October 25–26.

As usual, the Szeged Market and Fair Operator Company (SZVP) sets the autumn vibes at Szent István Square with a weekend of creative pumpkin carving, interactive and stage programs, a craft market, a carousel, and giant building blocks.

This year, the water tower will remain closed due to reconstruction.

Saturday, October 25

9:00 Handicraft and local produce market opens

10:00 Peter and Pan Duo kids’ concert

11:00 Autumn and winter poems by Kövér Béla Puppet Theater

11:00 - 16:00 Kids' corner: drawing with the Kövér Béla Puppet Theater

12:00(noon) Pumpkin lantern carving and competition, led by Zoltán Doktor, food sculptor, and Olympic and World Championship silver medalist master confectioner

12:00 (noon) Performance by the Kozmosz Dance School

13:00 FittWorld

14:00 PomPom Music Band

15:00 Ghost Hunt – interactive game for children

15:30 Announcement of the lantern carving competition results and awards

Sunday, October 26

9:00 Handicraft and local produce market opens

9:00 Face painting

10:00 Grimm-Busz Theater – kids’ program

11:00 Trick or treat – interactive game for children

14:00 Hétmérföldes Band kids’ concert

15:00 Scary Face Competition – participants can arrive all set or can get their faces painted next to the stage, from 9:00. All participating children get a present.

Registration for the competition from 13:00.

15:30 ToP Dance performance
