"Nobel Weeks at the University of Szeged" awareness campaign was launched at SZTE, the university press office informed Szegedify. The series of programs organized under the motto of SZTE — "Where knowledge and intention meet" — extends beyond the borders of Szeged.

The campaign promises to reveal the colorful world of science by following Katalin Karikó and Ferenc Krausz, the two Hungarian Nobel Prize-winning researchers. The series of programs aimed at popularizing science and research began on November 22, 2023, when Katalin Karikó talked to students from Szeged, among others telling them that research is similar to the excitement of an investigation.

The University of Szeged launched the Nobel Weeks at SZTE website, providing news and articles about the two Hungarian Nobel laureates, and up-to-date information about the programs of the Nobel Weeks — both in Szeged and Stockholm.

Among the website sections, Livestream is a collection of links to events in Sweden that can also be followed online. The latest news can be found in the News section.

Correspondents of the University of Szeged will report on the events of the Swedish "Nobel Weeks" in Stockholm from the location. The exclusive interviews and photos, the Stockholm vlogs related to the Nobel-prize ceremony will be shared on SZTE's website and social media platforms, complementing the official coverage of the Nobel Week in Stockholm.

Primary and secondary school students, their companions, and everyone interested are invited to the JATE Club at the SZTE Rector's Building at Dugonics Square on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 3 p.m. for a series of presentations and competitions organized to celebrate the two Nobel Laureates.

High school students will compete in teams of 3 each and can apply by registering online until December 7. The members of the first three teams of high school students receive institutional admission points provided by the SZTE Junior Academy.
