foodora extends hours and launches promotions for FIFA World Cup fans

BUDAPEST – foodora is extending operating hours and introducing special promotions ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the delivery platform informed Szegedify on Wednesday.

The company said it expects a significant increase in evening and late-night orders during the competition and is strengthening its operations to meet growing demand from fans watching matches at home.

Several foodora MARKET locations in Budapest will remain open until as late as 3 a.m. during the tournament. The extended hours will allow customers to order snacks, beverages and everyday essentials throughout match nights and post-game celebrations.

foodora said selected products commonly associated with game-day viewing, including snacks and drinks, will be available at discounts of up to 30% through foodora MARKET during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The company will also launch an in-app prediction game, allowing users to guess match results. Customers who make successful predictions will receive coupons that can be redeemed on purchases from foodora MARKET.

In addition to Budapest, foodora and selected partners will operate with extended hours in several major Hungarian cities, including Szeged, Debrecen, Győr and Pécs, where local demand is expected to justify the expanded service.

foodora currently offers 24-hour delivery coverage in Budapest and said the additional measures are intended to provide faster and more flexible access to popular products throughout the tournament.

The delivery platform operates in five European countries – Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Norway and Sweden. As part of the Delivery Hero network, foodora is a member of what the company describes as the world’s largest quick-commerce platform.
