Tripadvisor ranks Budapest as 7th best place in the world for Culture in 2023

Budapest has been ranked by Tripadvisor as the 7th best place for culture in the world in 2023.

Each year, Tripadvisor announces the Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Destination Awards, based on the global reviews travelers leave on the platform. In 2023, a new category - The Best Places for Culture - has been introduced.

The Best Places for Culture Award ranks destinations that feature outstanding history, art, music, and cuisine, as well as sights and experiences that cannot be found anywhere else. The list is based on the reviews of the global travel community.

The Moroccan city of Fes finished first on the list, Jerusalem, in Israel, turned out to be second, while the Greek capital, Athens is the third best place for culture in 2023.

In terms of Budapest, the city’s remarkable spas and baths, including Gellért, Rudas, and Széchenyi Bath, along with sights like St.Stephen’s Basilica, the Parliament, and Heroes’ Square were all mentioned in the Tripadvisor article announcing the winners.

According to the report, unmissable things include the Budapest Danube River Sightseeing Night Cruise, Hungarian wine tasting in Budapest, and the Night-Time Dark History and Vampire Walking Tour in Buda Castle District.
