Hungarian pavilion wins silver medal at Dubai Expo
The Hungarian pavilion won a silver medal in the category of the best-presented theme at the Expo 2020 Dubai, the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) informed MTI on Thursday, March 31.
The pavilion named Aqua Roots of Hungary presented the water treasures of the country, as well as their formation and history, with a special emphasis on natural water resources, medicinal and thermal waters, and balneology.
Aqua Roots of Hungary had more than one million visitors from 194 countries. During the 26 weeks of the expo, there were 42 cultural events with the participation of nearly 700 performers - including the Carmina Burana performance of the Szeged Contemporary Dance Company.

Expo 2020 was a World Expo hosted by Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022. The event was originally scheduled to start one year earlier, on October 20, 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For marketing and branding purposes, the organizers decided to keep the name Expo 2020.
