2022 Bocuse d’Or European Finals in Budapest

On March 23 and 24, for the second time, Budapest will host the European finals of Bocuse d’Or, the world's most prestigious cooking competition. The event will be part of the Sirha Budapest hospitality and food service expo, at the renewed HUNGEXPO Congress and Exhibition Center.

In the finals, the best chefs of Europe will have to prove their talent, technical knowledge, and creativity in front of a 24-member jury. Competitors have 5 hours 35 minutes to prepare a meat and fish dish with pre-defined ingredients, and the winner earns the right to represent Europe at the world grand finale in Lyon.

Budapest hosted the European finals of Bocuse d’Or for the first time in 2016, where Tamás Széll and his team made history winning the competition. The French organizers were impressed with the high standard of the event. Jerome Bocuse, the son of the competition founder Paul Bocuse, called the event “the best European final of all time” in his closing speech.
